Vidient Overview
Vidient Systems is a global leader in sophisticated video analysis for security, safety and business intelligence applications. Vidient’s products transform CCTV camera systems from passive assessment tools to active monitoring systems. By leveraging existing camera infrastructures, Vidient technology can provide far more sophisticated detection capabilities at a far lower cost than traditional sensor systems, such as fence sensors, optical sensors and buried cable systems.
Vidient’s core technology was developed in a pioneering research project at NEC Labs. Vidient was founded in 2003 to integrate the technology into commercial solutions. Today, Vidient’s products are deployed worldwide at major airports, military bases, corporate campuses and critical infrastructure sites.
Vidient markets its products through a network of systems integrators, including global partners such as Unisys, NEC, and Raytheon.
